this is the version six beta. justin j byrne's portfolio site.
previous next back to top
I'm building this now, with a few minor alterations. It'll be sexy.
I was feeling inspired today, like I got my design mojo back or something. Here's a new cinderblockhouse homepage direction. This isn't exactly done yet, there are a few details to wrap up, and some alignment issues to fix, but it's late at night, so it's going up. See the animatic of the loading sequence next door.
Animation for the loading of the new cinderblockhouse design.
Tiger's Milk is an energy bar brand.
My good friend Matt Talbot started doing spec for Tiger's Milk in an Art Center class, and we wound up
Collaborating on the concepts, copy writing, and visual direction. Final art direction execution was by
myself and the final copy was written by Matt. This is a billboard, as part of the multi-point out of home / guerilla campaign, this is designed to entertain while stuck in traffic. Texting the number automatically opens an account on the KillTheLazy.com website (comps forthcoming) and adds points to the account. . .
cinderblockhouse is a venture between myself and Matt Talbot
Here's the second draft of the cinderblockhouse site, or the homepage anyway. It's more open and allows a small space for a blog or work showcase right on the homepage, and the nav has been consolidated at the top of the site in order to facilitate ease of use.

This is a first shot at the design for our forthcoming site.

This is a second shot at the branding for the company. A little bit sexier than the first version, and all in vector.

intelligence group is a marketing agency.
i worked as an in house designer / art director / developer there and fought to produce good work that was on par with other firms catering to the same market. there was extraordinary resistance to change. I do feel like I did good work there, but only after incredible tumult.

these are two directions I had for the redesign of philipmorrisusa.com. unfortunately they were deemed too cool for big tobacco, they told me it would be awesome for Nike though.
i can't claim this as my concept, but it is my work.
We were pitching CNN.com ad business, this was part of the guerilla campaign. i also did concepts and art direction for the print campaign, but have since lost my comps. lame.
